M/Y Vasco Liveaboard
The M/Y Vasco has a rare and unique history of being a Russian spy trawler during the Cold War. A few years after decommissioning, she was bought and converted into a full service dive vessel. She has been taking divers to the most exciting as well as remote dive destinations in the Philippines for almost 15 years.
Year round, we travel to places such as the Tubbataha Reefs and Cagayancillo Islands in the Sulu Sea, Apo Reef and the Panagatan Cays in South Mindoro, and the Spratly Islands in the middle of the China Sea. The Vasco's interior is outfitted with handcrafted Burmese hardwood panels and furniture with classic boat design features. It has 8 well appointed twin share cabins that truly address guests' comfort. A spacious dive area allows 20 divers a lot of room during gear up and lots of extra space for equipment stowage. One of the Vasco's best features is its open area deck. Again, floored with hardwood, it's is a perfect place to socialize, lay back after a long diving day, or view the scenery. Equally interesting is it's al fresco dining area which makes meals a truly pleasurable outdoor experience.
Diving on the Vasco is an unforgettable experience both on deck and underwater. Our very experienced dive staff and crew have at least 8 years experience on the boat. It goes without saying that we know what divers want in and out of the water!
